People’s United Bank supports organizations that help people to help themselves and also those that provide the basic needs that families and individuals require in order to survive. The Foodbank meets both of these criteria with the ability to distribute food across Vermont, gathered from an incredible number of resources, provide classes that teach individuals a new trade and reach children who are desperately in need.
Kathy Schirling, Director of Marketing & Community Services at People’s United Bank, says “The biggest benefit of a partnership with the Foodbank is knowing that you are getting food into the hands of those who need it most. Additionally, the Foodbank is a statewide organization with a reputation of getting things done. They work hard to promote our partnership, getting our name out wherever they can.”
With the large number of charitable organizations in Vermont, People’s United Bank believes it is important that non-profits work together to ensure Vermonters are cared for in the best way possible. Every day the Vermont Foodbank nurtures partnerships and leverages resources to do the most good, and People’s United Bank has chosen to support the Foodbank’s collaborative spirit.
