The Vermont Foodbank Alliance

The Vermont Foodbank Alliance is our newest program, born through a close relationship with SYSCO Food Services of Albany.  Through the program, the SYSCO sales staff is assisting the Foodbank in signing up restaurants and other food-service customers in Vermont who will pledge a set amount on each of their monthly invoices.  SYSCO will then match the donation with 50 cents on every dollar.  

All of the donations will then be placed in a special account that the Foodbank can draw upon to purchase foods that will round out the product mix available to our Network Partners across the state.  Also, it will allow the Foodbank to purchase other SYSCO products such as kitchen equipment and to continue to expand our programs and services.
