Neighborhood Pantry Express

Neighborhood Pantry Express

Many food shelves and meal sites are faced with limited space to store and distribute inventory, restricted hours of operation and lack of consistent staffing.  In response to these obstacles, the Vermont Foodbank has introduced the Neighborhood Pantry Express.  The program enables us to team up with our Network Partners to serve even more people, with less strain on their critical resources.

The Neighborhood Pantry Express – a food pantry on wheels – provides Network Partners with 5,000 pounds of food and non-food products including:  produce, frozen foods, close-to-code dairy and other refrigerated products, baked and dry goods – all in a client choice setting.

For a donation of $250, you can fill half of a truck with 5,000 pounds of food.

For a donation of $500, you can fill an entire truck with 10,000 of food.

Currently, our 2010 NPE schedule is full.  Please check back for updated information.
