They provide guidance on how long food can remain safe after the loss of power, among other things.  In the event of food loss due to a FS household disaster, to replace food purchased with food stamp benefits, when there is a power outage for at least 4 hours, please refer to FS P-2540 A3 if you need to replace Food Stamp benefits.
