Costs and Fee Schedule
Costs and fee schedule
Membership with the Vermont Foodbank is $35, annually. First time agencies applying mid-year for membership pay an adjusted, lower rate. We use a fiscal year of October 1 through September 30. It costs the Vermont Foodbank to acquire, sort and distribute food. Network Partners help to support the operational costs of the Foodbank by paying a shared maintenance fee on donated product:
- An average of 18 cents per pound shared maintenance fee.
- Repackaged Frozen Meats are 20 cents per pound.
- Prepared Frozen Meals are 30 cents per pound.
Delivery Fee per Order (150 pound minimum order for delivery)
- 150-250 pounds $ .08 per pound
- 251-9,999 pounds $.06 per pound
- 10,000+ pounds $.04 per pound
Network Partners are invoiced monthly and payment is expected within 30 days of invoice date. Methods of payment include agency check, cash, money order or bank check. Personal checks cannot be accepted.
The Application Process:
- Please complete and send back the enclosed membership application. It is essential that you complete all appropriate sections. Addresses, phone numbers, fax numbers and e-mail addresses are important.
- Include a copy of your federal IRS 501(c) 3 Tax Determination Letter. This is not your state tax-exempt certificate. Enclosed is a sample copy.
- Shortly after we review your application, a time will be set up for a member of the Vermont Foodbank staff to visit your program site.
- A time for you to visit the Vermont Foodbank for an orientation to familiarize yourself with Foodbank procedures and food ordering will be arranged. Your annual membership fee and signed basic agreement are due at this time.
The application form is enclosed. Please do not hesitate to call if you have any questions. We are here to support your efforts to help those in need. I am available Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM at (802) 477-4106
