Members of Dave Matthews Band, Barenaked Ladies, Guster and Others Play Benefit Concert for VT & NH Food Banks and Reverb
The Pickle Barrel Nightclub, in association with Okemo Mountain Resort and Warren Miller Entertainment, hosted an all-star benefit concert on January 9, 2008. The group, Yukon Kornelius, featured Stefan Lessard of Dave Matthews Band, Ed Robertson of Barenaked Ladies, Adam Gardner of Guster, and Eric Fawcett of N.E.R.D. Stage and screen actor Jason Biggs hosted the evening. The concert benefited the Vermont Foodbank, as well as the New Hampshire Food Bank and the environmental non-profit group Reverb. Members of Yukon Kornelius had recently heard of food shortages in the area and decided they wanted to help while in Vermont skiing and snowboarding. The group wowed concert goers at the sold-out show with their infectious energy, humorous antics, and undeniable talent. Fans went crazy when unannounced special guest Dee Snider of Twisted Sister joined Yukon Kornelius to finish up the night. This unforgettable night raised significant funds for the Vermont Foodbank and addressed the issue of hunger in a creative way. Special thanks to Victor Wayras, Poli Nightingale, Bryan Halligan, The Inn of the Six Mountains for providing accommodation, and sponsors The Pickle Barrel Nightclub, Okemo Mountain Resort, Warren Miller Entertainment, Budweiser and IZstyle.com.
