Vermont Mountaineers
and Mascot Skip Volunteer at Vermont Foodbank


WHEN:  Wednesday, July 1st    
           9:30AM—12PM  

WHAT:  
The 2006 & 2007 NECBL Champions—the Vermont Mountaineers and their mascot, Skip, will take timeout to volunteer at the Vermont Foodbank before their home game against Keene. The Vermont Foodbank is the state’s largest hunger-relief organization, serving more than 66,000 Vermonters each year through a network of food shelves, meal sites, shelters, senior centers, and after-school programs.

-          Skip the Woodchuck and Vermont Mountaineer players, packing boxes of food for Vermonters in need of food assistance.
-          John Sayles, Foodbank CEO, thanking players for their service to the community at 9:30AM.   

WHERE:

              Parker Road, Barre, VT    

Directions:
From I-89: Take Exit 6 towards South Barre.  Travel 3.8 miles down the access road (Route 63) to 4 way intersection (Route 63 and Route 14).  At the intersection, go straight up the hill (Middle Road).  Go 1.5 miles, turn left onto Graniteville Road (just before the Rock of Ages Visitor Center).  Travel 1.1 miles, turn right onto Websterville Road-next to Wilson Cemetery.  Turn left onto Pitman Road-into the Wilson Industrial Park.  Cross the RR tracks, take left onto Parker Road. The Vermont Foodbank is second building on the right (33 Parker Road).

Join the Vermont Foodbank, Skip the Woodchuck, and the Vermont Mountaineers for a morning of volunteering at the Vermont Foodbank.
