White River DisasTOURThe White River DisasTOUR race was originally started in 2011 as a relief effort to help families in the White River Valley of Vermont affected by Tropical Storm Irene.  Now this race has grown and morphed into an event to help any family in need in the White River Valley regardless of the circumstance by which that need arose.  The 2013 race is sponsored by The Alchemist Brewery and all proceeds will go to The Vermont Foodbank.

The 2013 race will start at 10am at Green Mountain Bicycles in Rochester, VT and end in Rochester at the gazebo in the town common.  The event will include a 5-mile run on trails, dirt road and asphalt, a 6-mile paddle (canoe, kayak, SUP) on the White River and a 12-mile mountain bike on some pavement, some Class 4 dirt/jeep roads in the woods.

There will be a post-race party and award ceremony featuring locally brewed beer, local brick oven pizza baked on-site and live local bands.   You can join the party whether participating in the race, watching, volunteering or just hanging out in town.

Enter on your own for a single leg of the race or as a 2, 3 or 4 person relay team for $35/person.  An ironman/woman race option is available at $55/person.  For more info, visit the White River DisasTOUR website.  You can also like the White River DisasTOUR on Facebook.
