Community Kitchen Academy (CKA) prepares underemployed and unemployed Vermonters for a career in the food service industry and lifelong learning through an intensive program of culinary skills development, career readiness and job placement. Students actively develop and apply new skills by creating wholesome meals for those at risk of hunger using food that has been gathered from within our communities that may otherwise go to waste.

Below are photos and video from the graduation.

CKA Barre is now training its second class of students, while CKA Burlington is training its 15th class.  Students will earn nine college-level academic transfer credits for completing the CKA program, while positioning themselves well for a career in the food services industry.  For more information on CKA, please visit our website.

Programs such as Community Kitchen Academy would not be possible without your support.  Please give to the Vermont Foodbank today!
