The Vermont Foodbank is pleased to announce the hiring of Alex Bornstein as Chief Operations Officer. Bornstein comes to the Foodbank from International Rescue Committee, Inc., an internAlex Bornsteinational non-profit that “responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people to survive and rebuild their lives,” where he served as the organization’s Chief Supply Chain Officer for 10 years.

Bornstein brings a wealth of knowledge of the non-profit sector and years of experience in goods and services procurement, fleet management, warehousing and domestic and international supply chain management.

“The Vermont Foodbank is excited to have Alex Bornstein join the team as Chief Operations Officer,” said John Sayles, Vermont Foodbank CEO. “While Alex joins an already strong operations staff here at the Foodbank, I know his experience, expertise and leadership will enhance our efforts as we work to ensure no one in Vermont goes hungry.”

Bornstein is a resident of Dorset, Vermont where he lives with his wife Renee and their daughter Sophia.
