“We issue their uniforms…and everyone comes in dressed up and we line them up and go through the brigade and we kind of inspect them, and I think it’s the first time they’ve ever belonged.”

That’s from our first story in a three part video series about Community Kitchen Academy (CKA), a program through the Foodbank that helps prepare prepares underemployed and unemployed Vermonters for careers in the food service industry. CKA is a  partnership with Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf and Capstone Community Action.
