TD Charitable Foundation Supports Vermont Foodbank with Donation

November 5, 2019 | Barre, VT — The TD Charitable Foundation, the charitable giving arm of TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank®, recently donated a total of $25,000 to Vermont Foodbank as part of the foundation’s commitment to strengthening the community.

The Vermont Foodbank is the state’s largest hunger-relief organization, providing nutritious food and promoting health through a network of 215 food shelves, meal sites, senior centers and after-school programs, and directly to families, children, older adults and individuals at schools and hospitals. Each year, 1 in 4 people in Vermont turn to the Vermont Foodbank for help. The funds from the TD Charitable Foundation will help to source and distribute food to people throughout the state facing hunger.

“This donation makes an incredible difference in the lives of our Vermont neighbors who struggle with hunger,” says Vermont Foodbank CEO, John Sayles. “Thank you to the generosity of the TD Charitable Foundation, they will have a place to turn to make sure their families have the nourishing food they need this holiday season.”

This contribution supports TD’s longstanding commitment to community enrichment through TD’s corporate citizenship platform, The Ready Commitment.
