Medical Insurance –
In 2019 Vermont Foodbank employees have the opportunity to choose between three (3) different plans that are offered through VACE (Vermont Association of Chamber Executives)/Blue Cross Blue Shield. Employees should consider their own and their family’s personal situation to ensure that they select the plan that best suits their needs. You should take some time to familiarize yourself with the three different plan options. The Vermont Foodbank contributes 100% of the premium for individual, 2-person and family plans.
Dental insurance –
Employees are responsible for 10% of the dental premium, the Vermont Foodbank will contribute 90% of the dental premium. Dental insurance through Lincoln Insurance with an anniversary date of July 1, 2018.
Single plan: $31.13/month
2-Person plan: $60.50/month
Family plan: $104.10/month
Vision Insurance – Vision insurance through VSP that is entirely paid by the employee; with an anniversary date of July 1, 2018. Please ask for the particulars.
Single plan: $9.36/month
2-Person plan: $13.68/month
Family plan: $20.88/month
AFLAC — August 1, 2017 anniversary date. Accident and supplemental health insurance entirely paid by the employee. Please ask for particulars.
Life Insurance – Each full-time employee is entitled to life insurance 2 X their salary at no cost to the employee for a maximum coverage of $225,000. (over age 65 this amount is lower). However, upon an employee’s departure from employment or at the end of each calendar year the employee must pay payroll taxes based on the value of the life insurance over $50,000.
Short-Term/Long-Term Disability – Each full-time employee is entitled to short-term/long-term insurance at no cost to the employee.
