Collective Impact: Vision and Goals

Our network of community partners works together to improve the health and well-being of the people in Caledonia and southern Essex counties by integrating our efforts and services with an emphasis on reducing poverty in our region.  Our vision is that our neighbors are to be

  • Financially secure
  • Physically healthy
  • Mentally healthy
  • Well-nourished
  • Well-housed

To accomplish this, we focus on these Indicators (benchmarks)

  • Reducing the cost-burden for renter and owner households
  • Increasing the number of households receiving 3Squares VT and children involved in the National School Lunch Programs
  • Promoting financial security through economic development
  • Creating resources and care for those who are mentally ill

These indicators are measures which help quantify the achievement of a result.  To see more about our Indicators and the data we are using, click here to see a PDF.

Our work within the communities of Caledonia and southern Essex Counties regularly uses data to consistently implement and improve our efforts through continuous improvement and the collective impact strategy. This use of data offers quality benchmarks that distinguish our work from traditional collaboration. Our partner in these efforts is The Center for Rural Studies at the University of Vermont.
