Seven Days, Vermont’s free, independent weekly newspaper, has announced the dates and events of the 4th Annual Vermont Restaurant Week, a celebration of the state’s vibrant local-food culture.Vermont Restaurant Week

For 10 days, April 26 to May 5, 2013, restaurants throughout Vermont will offer special prix-fixe dinners at three price points — $15, $25 or $35 per person. Lunch specials at select locations are $10 or less. Vermont Restaurant Week is also a benefit for the Vermont Foodbank. Ten percent of the proceeds from sponsorships and restaurant participation fees and 100% of event admissions will be donated to Vermont Foodbank. Additionally, you can text FOODNOW (that’s one word) to the phone number 52000 and you will make a $10 donation to the Vermont Foodbank. $10 = 30 meals. Last year, the event raised $6,000 for food-insecure Vermonters.

Participating restaurants range from renowned eateries such as Burlington’s L’Amante Ristorante and The Kitchen Table Bistro in Richmond to local faves Three Penny Taproom in Montpelier and Café Provence in Brandon. So far, 93 restaurants — 28 of them new to Restaurant Week — have signed on to participate. This year’s sponsors include Vermont Federal Credit Union, Vermont Butter and Cheese Creamery, G.Housen (Shipyard Brewing Co. and DFV Wines) and Vermont White Vodka, with media support from WCAX-TV and WNCS The Point.

You can see the full Vermont Restaurant Week list of restaurants here.

We’re also very excited about the event line-up!
