Why do you work for the Vermont Foodbank?
I want to work hard at a job that helps others, something that is more than just a paycheck.

Do you have a favorite story from your work or a “high point” that you can share?
Starting the BackPack program was certainly a high point as well as starting the school food pantry program.

If you could work in another Foodbank department or job for a day, what would it be and why?
Human resources, I have an invested interest in this organization and the people who work here I would be happy to have a job that supported both.

Are there any activists, philanthropists or public figures that inspire you? If so, why?
There is not so much a current public figure or activist that inspires me. My mother and my children inspire me the most in my career. I always keep a quote by Plato in mind though- Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.

What do you think is key to ending hunger in Vermont?
Compassion instead of judgment and continuing to inform our elected officials about our cause.
