What comes to mind when you hear people talking about Millennials and philanthropy?

Are Millennials hesitant to call themselves philanthropists?

Vermont Foodbank Millennial Philanthropy Project

The McClure Foundation, a supporter of the Vermont Foodbank, practices what it calls “project-oriented, collaborative philanthropy” and this is what we see from our Millennial donors and volunteers every day.

• Youth, high school and college groups help us sort 8.2 million pounds of food for Vermonters in need each year.
• Young adult bicyclists ride in the Harpoon Point to Point, which has raised nearly $1 million since 2002.
• Millennials also donate, giving back when they can or even monthly, to keep our trucks on the road and food moving out to 270 food shelves and meals sites across the state.
