Bluegrass Gospel Project’s Concert Series to End Hunger
For the third year in a row, the Vermont Foodbank had the privilege of teaming up with the Bluegrass Gospel Project.
From the desk of Doug O'Brien
“It seems clear to me now that my mother did very sacred work in the kitchen. She presided over our dinner table and offered us a sustaining and life-giving sacrament, the product of her love and creative energy. Such work becomes scared, I now think, when we focus creative energy into doing something, or making something, that contributes to the health and healing, to the well-being and wholeness, of ourselves and others.” ~Sarah Hall Maney
Notes from the Road
The “Notes from the Road” column continues with its focus on the travels of Tom Abbiati, the Vermont Foodbank’s Food Procurement Manager. Tom spends an average of three days a week on the road visiting businesses who donate food and other staples to the Foodbank. His work is a very important part of how the Foodbank is able to meet the needs of hungry Vermonters.
Around the Network
As part of our continued efforts to share news of our 270 Network Partners spread across the state, we will spotlight one partner in each newsletter. This quarter’s focus is on the AIDS Project of Southern Vermont.
