Vermont Beer Week, a statewide beer event celebrating the craft beer scene in Vermont, is proud to announce a partnership with the Vermont Foodbank. In its inaugural year, Vermont Beer Week will donate a portion of all profits secured through sponsorships and merchandise sales to the Vermont Foodbank.
“We are thrilled to have the support of Vermont Beer Week and beer drinkers in ending hunger in Vermont, especially now, during National Hunger Action Month,” said John Sayles, Vermont Foodbank CEO. “The Foodbank’s work of ensuring no one in Vermont goes hungry is only achieved with the help of our neighbors, and Vermont Beer Week’s partnership couldn’t have come at a better time.”
This year, 153,000 Vermonters, or 1 in 4 people will turn to the Vermont Foodbank for food help, 34,000 of whom are children under the age of 18.
Planned by native Vermonters, Vermont Beer Week organizers believe, “We should drink local, eat local AND support local.”
Vermont Beer Week takes place starting Friday, September 18 and runs through Sunday, September 27th. Events will take place all over Vermont. Check out a full listing of events.

Vermont Foodbank is the state’s largest hunger-relief organization, providing nutritious food through a network of more than 300 community partners – food shelves, meal sites, schools, hospitals, and housing sites. Food insecurity has increased dramatically as a result of the pandemic, economic disruptions, and recent flooding. The Vermont Foodbank and its network have been on the front lines, working to ensure that everyone has the food they need to maintain their health. Last year, the Vermont Foodbank provided over 12 million pounds of food to people throughout Vermont. The Vermont Foodbank, a member of Feeding America, is nationally recognized as one of the most effective and efficient nonprofits and food banks in the nation.
