Food for Older Adults: The Commodity Supplemental Food Program

The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) is a USDA nutrition program which offers free monthly nutrition information and nutritious foods to income-eligible older adults.

The CFSP is looking for more applicants. If you or someone you know is in need of food assistance, please contact us.

Who is eligible for CSFP?

  • 60 years of age or older, living in Vermont
  • Individual and/or household income will be used to determine eligibility
  • Each household member may be eligible, and will need to complete an application form

CSFP Income Eligibility Guidelines

  • 1 person:              $1,354/month
  • 2 people:              $1,832/month
  • 3 people:              $2,311/month

Note: Each eligible person receives their own food box at one designated site.

People enrolled in this program will pick up their box monthly at a designated location. Click here for a list of pickup sites.

Please note—this list is for reference only. You will be assigned to a pickup site once your application is approved.

Interested in helping? Individual donors help us supplement the CSFP boxes, often adding fresh produce, bread and other foods to the monthly deliveries. Please consider making a gift to the Vermont Foodbank today. Volunteers are also needed to help at drop sites.
