Vermont Foodbank’s operations teams are at the heart of our mission.

Monday through Friday, drivers are on the road. They pick up donated and purchased food, bring it to the Foodbank for sorting and storage, and deliver food to partners and community members across the state. This daily work ensures food moves efficiently from where it’s sourced to where it’s needed most.

Operating out of three distribution centers in Barre, Rutland and Brattleboro, teams make more than 500 delivery stops each month, reaching partners in all 14 counties of Vermont. This is what we mean when we say we have statewide reach and make a local impact.

Here’s a look at where we deliver out of each center:

From Barre, we make over 300 stops each month across Addison, Caledonia, Chittenden, Essex, Franklin, Grand Isle, Lamoille, Orange, Orleans, Washington, and Windsor counties.

From Rutland, we make over 70 stops each month across Addison, Rutland and Windsor counties.

From Brattleboro, we make over 100 stops each month across Bennington, Windham, and Windsor counties.

Throughout the state, our trucks are on the road (identifiable by our name and bird logo), helping ensure the food neighbors want and need is available locally, when it’s needed most.
